The last time I attempted a blog was in the days of Open Diary in high school and after a couple of months I forgot my password and gave up the venture. The point is, I generally work better with paper and pen, but in an effort to share my next few months and make sure I record the important things I'm trying again.
From August 4th to December 17th, I will be in the midst of what will probably be the most exciting and challenging period of my life to date, and I'm still sorting through my emotions and thoughts about it. The support I've gotten from everyone has been way more than I ever expected so I'm definitely going to try to process through those thoughts on here so anyone who's interested can keep track of this crazy journey.
Here are the basics so far: on the 4th I begin a four day trip out to San Diego with one of my oldest friends, Courtlin. We have some awesome stops planned along the way, with our goal being to make it to the Roadie house by around dinner on the 8th. That gives me over a day to start settling in before we start the craziness on the 10th. From there it's 5 weeks in Cali before our ten weeks on the road in the Great Lakes. I can't wait to get started on everything, and actually need to sign off for now to go get some of my preliminary assignments done.
